Study Abroad.  Return Home Inspired!

Teachers, educators, lifelong learners:  Study in the UK and have an unforgettable educational experience!

TLab programs will transport you to the famed campuses of England and Scotland where you will attend classes with top professors at the University of Oxford, the University of Edinburgh, Shakespeare's Globe in London, and the  "Page to Stage"  in Stratford-upon-Avon with Shakespeare Birthplace Trust.

1 Week Courses

One-week TLab programs developed are open to educators, current or retired, ESU members, and life-long learners.  These programs do not qualify for scholarships and registration is available online.

The Oxford Experience (Weekly June - August 2026)
at Christ Church College, Oxford
Courses in History, Literature, Philosophy, Sciences, Music, Art & Architecture 

Programs Eligible for Scholarships

The ESU Cleveland will award one scholarship to a secondary school teachers of English, humanities, or social studies to engage in one of our longer courses of one week to three weeks with the following TLab-UK programs:

Shakespeare's Globe—London July 12 - 24, 2026

University of Oxford (July & August 2026)

University of Edinburgh (July & August 2026)

Shakespeare's Birthplace Trust
Stratford-upon-Avon (July 25 - 31, 2026)




Scholarships from the ESU Cleveland will cover UK program cost.

To apply to a Scholarship Program

Applicants must have at least two years teaching experience in ELA.  Applicants must be participants in the ESU National Shakespeare Competition with the ESU Cleveland.

Complete the ESU Cleveland Branch application by April 1, 2026 

Interviews will be held by invitation only soon after. Date/Time  TBA.
