The Philadelphia branch Shakespeare Competition 2021
News

The 38th Annual ESU National Shakespeare Competition: Philadelphia Branch will take place online due to COVID.
JUST ANNOUNCED: The top 3 winners of The Philadelphia Branch Shakespeare Competition will receive:
1ST PLACE: $1,500 and a spot at the National Competition.
2nd PLACE: $1,000
3RD PLACE: $500
All participants will receive a Certificate of Participation and other gifts via USPS.
The deadline to submit the School Participation Form is February 15th.
The deadline to submit the School Winner Form is February 22nd.
The winners of the competition will be judged solely on their submitted recorded performances.
Our Philadelphia Branch Finalists will be announced on March 1st.
There will be a Zoom reception on March 7th starting at 4pm that is mandatory for the top 3 winners to attend to receive their scholarship awards. They will be required to perform their winning monologue.

invites our members and friends to a Zoom Cock-tail (Mocktail) Party on Friday, June 19th at 5pm.
HAT COMPETITION
Submit a picture of you in your favorite Garden Party hat for a chance to win a certificate for Tea for Two at Sofitel (Tea is not currently being served, but the certificate is good for when they re-open).
To submit a photo, please email it to Philaesu@gmail.com by June 12th. Your photo will appear in the next newsletter.

Performing in Philadelphia for one night only.
The Queen's Six were established in 2008, the 450th anniversary of the accession of Queen Elizabeth I, from whom they take their name.
Based at Windsor Castle, all the members of The Queen's Six are also Lay Clerks of St George's Chapel, whose homes lie within the Castle walls.
