The Andrew Romay New Immigrant Center (ARNIC) is a free program that provides recently arrived immigrants a home-like setting where they can improve their English fluency, learn about American culture, network and find professional development opportunities as they begin to build new lives in America.
ARNIC offers a range of activities to facilitate members' full integration into U.S. society:
English Language Classes: short structured English classes at higher intermediate to advanced levels on various aspects of business English such as grammar, writing, reading and speaking
Professional Development Opportunities: opportunities to familiarize members with all aspects of U.S. professional life, including the job search process, networking and workplace culture. Members develop the skills and confidence to building meaningful, fulfilling careers in the U.S.
Community Integration: workshops and field trips help members integrate into their communities. Workshops focus on topics such as financial literacy, stress management and access to healthcare. Field trips allow members to learn more about U.S. culture, history and politics.

Who can join our program?
18+ years old
Documented immigrant status (Green Card holders/applicants, asylum seekers, asylees and refugees are all welcome to join our program)
Resident in the U.S. for less than five years
Demonstrated financial need (household income no more than 200% of the federal poverty level)
Intermediate-level English or above
Ability to commit to at least five hours a week to activities
Hear about the experiences of some of our students
